Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Sewaloka collects through sewaloka.my, why it is used, and your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

Data we collect

We collect only what is needed to run Sewaloka:

  • REN and agency accounts: name, email, phone, registration number, agency, SSM number, photo and areas covered.
  • Listings: the property details, photos and address you enter.
  • Enquiries: the name, phone and message a visitor sends to a REN.
  • Site use: pages viewed, WhatsApp taps and technical details such as IP address and browser type.
  • Payments: token order records. Card or bank details are handled by Billplz and not stored by us.

Data from Threads and Facebook

If a REN connects an account to RENCast, we receive and store:

  • The Threads account ID and name, or the Facebook Page ID and name.
  • An access token, stored encrypted and used only to publish posts the REN schedules.
  • A record of posts sent through Sewaloka and their status.

Meta permissions we use

We do not read private messages, friend lists or other content in your account. Meta data is not sold, not used for advertising, and used only to provide RENCast.

How data is used

Data is used to show listings and profiles, pass enquiries to RENs, check registrations against the LPEPH register, process payments, send notifications, protect the site from abuse, and publish posts a REN asks for.

Who receives data

We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with providers that help run the service:

  • Brevo for email, Billplz for payments, Cloudflare for site security, Telegram for notifications, and Google if you sign in with it.
  • Meta, when a REN publishes through RENCast.
  • Listings and REN profiles are public and can be seen by anyone.

How long data is kept

Data is kept while an account is active, or as long as needed for the purposes above and legal requirements such as payment records. RENCast tokens are deleted as soon as an account is disconnected.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent. Contact [email protected]. See Delete your data below.

Delete your data

To disconnect Threads or Facebook, which deletes the token and cancels scheduled posts straight away:

  • Log in to Sewaloka and open Settings → RENCast.
  • Tap Disconnect on the account.

You can also remove Sewaloka under Apps and Websites in Facebook, or Website permissions in Threads.

Email [email protected] from your account's address with the subject "Delete data". We will confirm the request and delete your account, profile, listings and RENCast data within 30 days.

Records the law requires us to keep, such as payment records, stay until that period ends.
